Children's Baptisms
The procedure to book a baptism is as follows:
It is a wonderful thing to desire to have your child baptised. If you ask to have your child baptised in the Catholic Church you are taking on a serious commitment. By asking to have your child baptised, you are indicating that you wish to come to Mass every Sunday and bring your child up according to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
If this is what you seek, then please speak to one of the priests after a Sunday Mass and ask to fill in a Baptism Enquiry Form. He will then ring you to invite you to visit him so that he can explain the procedure leading up to the Baptism of your Child. At this meeting he will give you the Baptism Registration Form. You will then be invited to a Baptism Preparation Class. Please bring your completed form to the class and then a date will be agreed for the baptism of your child. The Baptism Preparation Class will normally take place on a Saturday at Midday at SS Peter and Paul's Church in the Milner Room. (If you are travelling by car and using a SatNav, please use the postcode for Paternoster Row WV1 1SR.) There is a car park at the Church.
Children's' Baptisms usually take place on the last Sunday of each month immediately after one of the Masses. If you would like your child to be baptised during the Mass, please consult one of the priests.
Adult Baptisms
If you are an adult seeking baptism, contact one of the priests and they will explain to you how you will be prepared to receive this great Sacrament.
